Merry Christmas!

Hello everybody!

I have a couple questions this week. First, did you read what Boo wrote on the Christmas card? (Liked the picture by the way.) If so, why on earth would you send that to me?  I don't appreciate the spoilers. Because now if they are real, then I already know and I really didn't want that spoiled, and if they're not true, then if you email me and tell me they're not true, that would actually spoil the movie! It's a lose-lose situation for me. I guess the best I can do is hope Boo enjoys the pain and suffering he has caused me, that scruffy little nerf herder. (Joey wrote some fake Star Wars spoilers...we wrote back so Robbie knows the card was sent before the movie even came out 😉).

Second, where is Bro. Hyde going on his mission?!?!?! That's an awful cliffhanger! (This is a couple in our ward, I thought I had already told Robbie this news...they are called as the secretary and assistant secretary to the Asia Area Presidency.)

Anyway, we've had a pretty busy week! There was a baptism this Saturday, his name is Renault, he was one of E. Smith's and E. Boardman's investigators, and he's awesome. Renault and his friend Romeo have the missionaries over for dinner all the time, sometimes we get to go too, if we are doing service for them. It was really awesome, it was totally in French, which was sweet. Philip came to the baptism, and to church the next day, and that was really awesome. I think he's pretty excited about getting baptized, but he was pretty sad that Elder Legault was leaving. I do think he'll get baptized this coming month though, so that should be really cool.

At the baptism

It was definitely weird to send off E. Legault. On Saturday we were at the Pitre's for service and dinner, and we burned Elder Legault's suit and Elder Boardman's shirt. (At 6 month, year mark, 18 month, and 2 years you burn different items of clothing.) We drove him to Fredericton Sunday. Weird to think that right now he is home, probably watching Star Wars. It's ok though. I've been working with Elder Boardman and Smith, and we've been having a great time. We've been working hard, and have been trying to do work in both of the areas.

Speaking of, I guess you didn't understand what I was talking about for the transfer. It doesn't END till the 24th, but we transfer on Thursday. So tonight Elder Smith, Boardman and I will be driving to Fredericton. I will be serving with Elder Greenburg, and am really looking forward to that! I've heard that he's an awesome missionary, and he's insane at learning languages. We're going to have a good transfer! Elder Smith is going to be training a new missionary, Elder Pierson.

The Elder at the far left is Elder Greenburg

Q: The photos that Dennis Jagoda posted of zone conference looked like they were taken in a regular LDS chapel...where is that? Is that your stake center?
A: Zone Conference for New Brunswick is held in Moncton. It's about 3h40 minutes away. We hold stake conference in Fredericton. It's kinda weird, but Fredericton is the closest for everybody, even though it's the Saint John Stake.

Sorry I have to go again. I hope you all enjoy the Christmas holidays starting tomorrow. Sorry I didn't get to send my christmas gifts. I was going to go to the mail to send them, but Elder Legault needed to pack. Looking forward to speaking with you! Love you all.

Transfers!!!

Hello!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ellie!!!!! I hope you had a great one!  So yes, I got transfered!! I'm going to Fredericton with Elder Olsen. We're going to be zone leaders, and I'm super excited!! Elder Olsen is one of my favorite elders, so we're going to be having a great time! They closed down Dieppe, so there are only two French areas now, Edmundston and Bathurst. Elder Smith went to Bathurst. The French areas are in New Brunswick, but the majority of the areas are English (like mine).  I had a pretty good week. Deji got baptized!!!!! It was so, so cool. I was one of the elders who found him, and I had a chance to teach him on exchanges. Then Sunday was really good too.  I'm doing really good health wise! I've had no problems. We found someone pretty cool. Her name is Monica, we found her through Facebook. We're going to teach her again tonight.  I liked going to the zoo a lot. We have played Settlers of Catan a lot together, except it...

Still no snow on my end

Questions we asked: How's it going with Wendy, Jacob and Brendan?  Any new investigators? How's it going with Elder Pitcher? Are you still a ZL? How was your week? Do you have the chance to exercise and play the piano there? Are you brushing and flossing at least twice a day?  What are you thinking career wise? You said that observing your mission presidents had given you insight on that... Hey all, Glad to hear things are going well back home. Funny that you should bring up taxes, there is a YSA member here who just came up from Texas, and during our lesson he kept talking about how ridiculous the taxes are here compared to back in the states. He's originally from here, but he goes to school there and is back while they figure out his visa stuff. He joined the Church down there, going on to show that America is the promised land!  Things are going well on my end. Still no snow, although there's a lot of wind now, and it's getting colder. The ...
Hey all, Glad to hear there’s been a good first week of summer for everyone. Sorry if this email is a little shorter, we had a bunch of car stuff to do at the start of the morning, and then we had scheduled to go seaglassing with the Lows this afternoon, which was really fun. I found a couple cool pieces, some are kinda rare, so it’s pretty neat. Peggy’s Cove is really pretty, there’s lots of beautiful parts of the maritimes, and it has a big place in literature. Ann of Green Gables (which he obviously has never read, since he spelled it without an e!)  is the most well known, but another popular figure is Evangeline. She comes from a poem about the Acadian removal, I want to read it when I get home, cause it sounds really cool.  Highlight of my week was definitely the baptism. Nadia got baptized on Saturday, she was someone we found in Moncton through the members there. Elder Holman and I started teaching her, then I got transferred to Halifax, and then Elder Hol...
