Did Dad powder his hair or something in those photos?

Hey all!

I can't believe school's already out again! It seems like yesterday we were just starting summer again. I really can barely believe how fast the time's going by. I've already been gone for 9 months! If I was a sister missionary I'd be halfway done, that's not ok!

Also, all of you except mom are looking older! What happened to your hair Dad? It looks really white in the photo with mom, in all the others it looks darker.

I saw on facebook that Grandma and Grandpa's anniversary was coming up too, Davy invited me to it, haha. I was really tempted to put "going" or something, but I thought that would probably not be very dignified, and more than a little confusing. Let me know how it goes!

This week was really fun. We had Leadership Conference on WednesdayThursday, and Friday. We drove down to Halifax for it with Elders Ablett and Sawa Sawa. But it was amazing, I learned so much. I wish everyone could have gotten to go. It was also kinda sad because it was the last conferences President and Sister Pratt are in charge of. They have another conference June 10 in Newfoundland, Elder Bednar is coming to Newfoundland to release President Pratt as the mission president there, and so they have that, and possibly they'll come to one last zone conference, but then they're gone! I'm going to be pretty sad, cause the Pratts are the best! I'm excited to meet President Low though.

Because that ate up a lot of our time, I don't have too much more about our week. The branch had a talent show that we missed! We heard it was super awesome, but didn't get to see it!

There was also a funeral on Wednesday that Elder Pierson and I played the piano at. It also snowed Wednesday. So there's that.

Today we went down to Miramichi and played mini golf with the Elders and sisters there. It was a lot of fun, but it's also a little sad, cause the Miramichi sisters are closing down, so this is their last week here. After that, I don't know what's going to happen to my district, because it will just be us and Miramichi elders, so it will be the smallest district in the mission. Technically we have a senior couple, but they're in Halifax, because another couple didn't come out on their mission or something. They might be coming back soon, but we really don't know.

We had a technology blitz as a mission, (so every one was using technology to try to find people) and our district did the best! We got a trophy for it, haha! We've seen a lot of success using it though, we found a new investigator through Facebook and have started meeting with him. His name is Yanik. He's actually a pretty good friend of Alex's, and Alex has been an amazing friend in helping Yanik learn about the gospel.

Tommy's been out of town for a while, ever since we left for Halifax, so we're going to see him tomorrow when he gets back. Tanya was gone too, she was with family in Moncton. Xavier is going to be meeting with Elders Sawa Sawa and Kearsley in person, because they're at Saint-Pierre for the week! And with Betty, we're hoping to see her Friday, because she cancelled our lesson on Sunday

Love you all so much! I did get my package, the shirts are perfect! Enjoy the first week of summer!

Got my travel plans!

Bonjour tout le monde!        This has been a crazy week! We've been super busy with lessons, we have had two or three lessons a day, and lots of really good devotionals.  On Sunday , we had Chad Lewis come and talk, and that was really cool. He talked about his mission, his career, his chance to do this hike up Kilimanjaro with a bunch of wounded soldiers from Iraq, kinda all over the place. It was more like a slide show than the kind of devotionals before. It was still good, but I definitely preferred Elder Oaks. We watched A Consecrated Missionary, by Tad Callister, for our film after, it was really good. I really love the  Sunday  films, gunna miss that in the field.         I also finally meet some other people going to Halifax! There are 4 sisters, and one other Elder, I'll be flying out with them on the 26th. I'm pretty sure I get to call you guys before I leave the airport on my flight, but I think they talk about t...

First few days!

First few days are down, and it's going good! When I got here I went straight to a lesson in French, and six hours of lessons later I'm supposed to teach a lesson in complete French to an investigator, write a talk in French, and memorize the missionary purpose statement.  Our zone has about 60 missionaries, most speaking French, going to Lyon, France, but some to Paris as well. There are a lot of Haitian Creole speaking missionaries, and some Malagasy speaking missionaries as well. Two are going to New Caledonia (discussed below). I'm the only one going to Canada, let alone going to Halifax.         My companion is Elder Hable (like table but with an H) and he's really good. He's going to New Caledonia, which is by Australia. He took French for 6 years, and he's by far the best of our district so far. He likes baseball, favorite team is the Red Sox, so that's a plus, (Raelene) and is really kind to everyone. He got made the District leader last night, s...

Transfers!

Hey all, Happy Father's day! Hope you had a good one dad + grandpa's. I didn't know if you would've wanted to waste part of your trip to DC calling me, so I didn't try calling. Besides, I want you all to actually be glad I'm home when I get back.  So you're right, my p-day does get messed up because of transfers, but the majority of it was on Monday (not Tuesday) and the rest today (Wednesday). It's ok though because I do have enough time to write some. (This whole week has been so busy I don't even know if I could include everything that's gone down.) We'll start with zone conference. Elder Hamilton didn't have enough time in his schedule to go to Newfoundland, and so we combined the Newfoundland and Nova Scotia zone conference. It was really good, Elder and Sister Hamilton gave some fantastic training, as well as President and Sister Low. I don't know if I've told you about this, but in our zone conferences we normal...
