Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey all,

I really like the Christmas card photo! It's really really good. I showed it to one of the missionaries here and they said, "THAT is YOUR family?" She clearly couldn't believe that I came from such a good looking group. Dad, you're looking a little older though with that beard! I'm surprised mom let you keep it for the pictures.

SUPER excited that the Utes won! It sounds like our second string is doing really good! Wish I could watch them play. Keep me updated about how they do. I definitely don't want to see them lose to the Y, it would be insufferable to hear from all the other missionaries.

That's also pretty cool that you're going to meet Bro Williams! And yes, Elder Boardman is going home this week. Honestly he's been my best companion. He's changed me so much. Let me know how his homecoming talk goes if you go. And yeah, its a pretty sick video. They had a blast putting it together, and there were a lot of people who came and talked to the other missionaries who were there about it. I don't know if any people started investigating, but it's pretty cool.

I didn't get to go to the temple, I just grabbed some photos in front of it as it's right next to the Dartmouth chapel, and we were there for MLC. The last time I went to the temple I think was the French temple trip. I don't remember if it was the one with the Dyvrandes, but it's been awhile. You pretty much don't get to go to the temple unless you're in Halifax, because you baptize like crazy, you're so close, and the ward there is really awesome at organizing and getting people to the temple after baptism. They had five baptisms last transfer, and they got to go to the temple like 4 times. It kinda sucks being so far out, cause you miss out on that kinda stuff, but it's part of life. I've gotten plenty of nice things that no one else on the mission has.

So yes, I'm going to Moncton again. I'm pretty excited about it, there's a lot of good work to do there, and I like a lot of the members. We're whitewashing in, which surprised me a bit, but it's not that bad as I know the area and members. The last elders there though signed up for the parade and don't have anything ready for it, so we'll see how that goes and if we do it. I'm excited to see them all again. We'll see how long I'm there. I could be there for only one, or I could be there for three or four. My next companion goes home not this transfer we're about to have, but the next one. I was thinking about it, I could literally spend my entire mission in New Brunswick, because unless I'm in Moncton for 1, I'm guessing I'll help a new zone leader, and then I could train my last transfers, and it could very well be somewhere in New Brunswick. So the meme lives on.

I love you all, and I'm so grateful for all of you. You really are the best. I'm so so proud to be from our family. You've taught me so much, and love me so much. I really appreciate it.

Love,
Elder Marsh

Fewer days than Boo has years...

Hey all, Sorry if this one's the shortest yet. We're busy picking up the new missionaries, and the schedule has been crazy lately. Monday and Tuesday we had to create a system for everyone to get transferred, and then to transfer them all. We spent 24 hours planning, it was crazy. I've loved my mission. It's been so amazing. I wish I had more time, but there is more to do. I'm excited to see you all.  One of my favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon on my mission has been 3 Nephi 5:13. "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life." I can testify that sharing his word brings us joy too. Love you all. See you later! Elder Marsh

Crazyness

Wow, hello everybody! This last week's been absolutely crazy. First off, I'm getting transferred to Bathurst, I'll be serving with Elder Boardman, he's from Holladay too, we're super excited! I was also called to be the French district leader, so I'll be working on training for the French missionaries too. Really looking forward to it! Second off, the French temple trip. Holy cow, best part of my life. Long story though. To start, Elder Greenburg and I had to drive separately from the other missionaries. They were taking two members, Anik and Renaud, to Mirimichi, where they met more members there to take the members the rest of the way. They picked up Elder Boardman there as well, and came the rest of the way down. On the other hand, Elder Greenburg and I went to Fredericton, picked up Sister King and her harp, and drove with her all the way to Halifax. When we got to Truro, we got this HUGE storm. It was absolutely crazy, people were sliding off t...

Q & A

Questions we asked this week: Ainsley says, "Does he still remember us?" haha What are the highlights of your week? What are your insights on ministering? What's the schedule coming up, so we can be aware? How was the conference with Elder Haynie? Why haven't you sent any photos lately?????? Hey all, It's been a busy week again, LOTS of travel. We went down to Halifax on Wednesday, stayed in Moncton for the night, and had Zone Conference on Thursday. So we were out of town for quite a while, but they were pretty good meetings.  First, MLC. We didn't do a lot, we pretty much told Elder Haynie what our mission was like so he could know what to do and say for the conferences. He was super suprised at how obedient our mission was. He kept asking if there were little groups of Elders who would heckle, or be disobedient, etc... and he was amazed at how that's not a problem. He was also pretty impressed by how hard working our mission was. We ...
