Transfers

Hey everybody!  Well, I'm glad to hear that you had a good week Mom. Not going to lie though, you're a nerd. Or a teenage girl. I do not get the hype. I'm sure it's good, but I think I'm on dad's side. If only you prayed as hard for the Utes as you did to get those tickets... (To Hamilton :) Also, sounds like there's a pretty good season so far for polo. Keep up the updates! Nice job Boo and Ains! You guys are going to be way better than me! This last week's been pretty awesome. It is transfers this week, and Elder Boardman is leaving. He's going to Dartmouth, he's going to be an online finding leader, and basically teach the mission how to use Facebook better, which is pretty sick. I'm staying here, which I'm pretty happy about, Bathurst is super awesome. My new companion is Elder Pierson, which is pretty exciting. He's a good missionary, and we're going to get some work done!  Also, some really good news. Nick is...

Hello from France!

Hey everybody!  Sorry for the confusion last week. I didn't get to read your email before I sent mine, but I was able to read it really quick before p day ended, because we were at the church. To explain, the method we had was different in Edmundston than in Bathurst. At Edmundston, we had internet all the time, and a laptop. In Bathurst, no such luck. The only time I have internet is at the church. So to give you the cut off time, we leave the church  Monday  at 2 (our time) so as long as you write before then, I can see it. Otherwise, I'll only have what's already on my phone to read. Also, thanks so much to the Barnes! I loved your little Easter package and notes. You guys are the best! This last week has been crazy!!! Since last p day a ton has gone down.  Thursday  night, we started the stop smoking program with Tommy. Tommy's a beast, hes been making so much progress, it's insane. We had our exchange with Miramichi elders this last week, El...

This week's update

Hey everybody. I guess you didn't understand what I meant by "you have no excuse." There's a lot of times when we email in the morning. My phone doesn't have internet. I only get to see the emails I got from  Monday . IF YOU WRITE  ON TUESDAY , I MIGHT NOT SEE IT! Hopefully I will have time to read emails later. At least I'll have stuff next week. Now that I finished my little rant, this last week's been pretty good. We finished teaching Nik, Rachelle and Tommy all of the principles, and are just setting up their interviews. Tommy still is working on stopping smoking, but he's doing awesome. He came to a game night we set up, and to church this week, and loved both. The hit at the games night was this table hockey game, it's lots of fun! The travelling trainers came for our district meeting this week. Basically it's two missionaries who spend an entire transfer training the mission. It was lots of fun, Elder Ipson and Olmsted are bo...

Hey all

Hey all, Dang, the Utes lost! That just sucks.  It's a good thing that we didn't use all of our time to email in the morning. I was going to just send an email this week with that and probably something about how you have no excuses because I sent you my schedule, and you didn't even write to me. Good thing for you that President Edwards ended up needing some help, and we delayed some of our time. (but for the future, there's no excuse for you anyway. You can write anytime during the week, I only get the one day. At least you know that you'll always get one. I haven't seen the same reliability...haha) Answers to questions: Did you get to watch conference? Where? What did you think about conference and the big changes? Anyway, yes, I got to watch conference. Not the Priesthood session, but we'll watch that as a branch another time. It was soo awesome. I love General Conference so much! And talk about a bunch of crazy new changes. The Solem...

Hello again!

Bonjour everyone! First, I FINALLY GOT MY PACKAGE! Goodness that took a while. I thank you all for the notes, I loved hearing from all of you! Also, Shawn, thanks for the chips, beans and salsa. Weren't too substantial, but it's the thought that counts! (I'll look over the fact that you wrote #6 not 4, haha (unless it was for Miles)). The Elders at Woodstock finally gave it to me. I was kinda confused at first, because it was already opened, the Woodstock Elders said that the Border Guard opened it up, but I wouldn't put it past them to open it up and see if I had any goodies. I was missing Bishop Allen's talk, and I doubt that the Border Guard took that...  Also, I want to qualify why I didn't write so much the other week. We had a pretty crazy day, we drove down to Miramichi, and I had just a little time to write an LTP and a weekly. It had NOTHING to do with the sports updates. Psyched to hear that the Utes are going to the NIT finals. Just one reques...

Rundown for this week

Hey everybody, Glad to hear that things are going good back home. I'll try to answer the questions as best I can.  Did you get your package before you left your last area? No. I still haven't gotten it. This is one of the reasons I thought sending it to Erich would have been better, because other missionaries don't care as much about other people's stuff. Caribou lost my package, and then found it in Woodstock,  (NO IDEA how it got there) we tried to get it as we drove past going to transfers, but Woodstock elders weren't at their apartment, they were at Houlton WITH my package.  I assume I should sent packages to the mission office now? Yes. Send it to the mission office.  Tell us all about your new area.  Do you have investigators there? Tell us about them... Bathurst is super awesome. I love Bathurst. We have three investigators who are going to get baptized this transfer, and they are the best. They're names at Nik, Rachelle and Tommy. ...

Crazyness

Wow, hello everybody! This last week's been absolutely crazy. First off, I'm getting transferred to Bathurst, I'll be serving with Elder Boardman, he's from Holladay too, we're super excited! I was also called to be the French district leader, so I'll be working on training for the French missionaries too. Really looking forward to it! Second off, the French temple trip. Holy cow, best part of my life. Long story though. To start, Elder Greenburg and I had to drive separately from the other missionaries. They were taking two members, Anik and Renaud, to Mirimichi, where they met more members there to take the members the rest of the way. They picked up Elder Boardman there as well, and came the rest of the way down. On the other hand, Elder Greenburg and I went to Fredericton, picked up Sister King and her harp, and drove with her all the way to Halifax. When we got to Truro, we got this HUGE storm. It was absolutely crazy, people were sliding off t...
