Wow

We got a very short email this week, just a note to say he'd arrived. A couple of the senior missionary sisters sent a little more info and some photos as well, bless them. :) Sorry I didn’t get to talk again later to everyone, we barely got through customs in time to get on our flight. (Robbie called for a few minutes from the airport in Salt Lake, and thought he might be able to call again during their layover in Toronto.)  It really made me grateful for what Dad did in Paris. Anyway, I’m here, I’m safe, I’m having a blast. We went contacting and we had some cool stories. Write more later. Love Elder Marsh P.S. This is one of the AP’s iPad, I won’t be able to read emails until pday. Elder Marsh looks happy and excited and we are so happy to have him here! I don’t know if I’m allowed to tell you where he is going, but I don’t see the harm in you knowing. He will be in a trio in Edmunston New Brunswick. Edmunston is a wonderful town, very French, they currently do not h

Last few days!!!

Almost done with the MTC! As great as this place is, I'm definitely ready to be heading out! Reading Jonas's email was kinda bittersweet, because while I do NOT want to have to deal with centipedes with a machete, I am pretty jealous that he's out already doing work! Although one thing that's pretty cool is that Elder Cook came  on Tuesday  for the devotional. It was super super cool! He had a really incredible testimony, and shared a lot about the love we need to have. I really loved that. It actually reminded me that I wanted to read the notes people took about the apostolic blessing Elder Holland gave the stake.         Sunday  was good too, but I thought that the film we watched was better than the devotional. We had Pres. and Sis. Livingstone, the temple presidents at the Provo Temple come and talk. They were good too, they talked about the plan of salvation, and being converted. We watched Open Your Mouth, a talk by Elder Holland, that's really good to

My small plates

Hey fam! I started writing this on paper, but that ends up taking way too long, so I just have to keep adding to it, and I just won't ever send it that way.  I have some extra time today to type this up, so hopefully I can start sending some cool things I've seen and learned in addition to the daily business I've sent so far. First off, I kinda jump a lot from different topics, so bear with me. I'm pulling a lot from my journal too, so hopefully I can kinda expand a bit. And also this isn't in any chronological order, so if you get a little confused with the stuff I talk about, just ignore it. Focus on the precious things of the soul!        Anyways, warnings aside, I have had an awesome time here learning and coming to recognize the spirit more in my life here.        The first thing I'd like to talk about (chapter 1 of the gospel according to Robbie) is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's part of our missionary purpose. In 2 Nephi 31 it teaches us about the

Got my travel plans!

Bonjour tout le monde!        This has been a crazy week! We've been super busy with lessons, we have had two or three lessons a day, and lots of really good devotionals.  On Sunday , we had Chad Lewis come and talk, and that was really cool. He talked about his mission, his career, his chance to do this hike up Kilimanjaro with a bunch of wounded soldiers from Iraq, kinda all over the place. It was more like a slide show than the kind of devotionals before. It was still good, but I definitely preferred Elder Oaks. We watched A Consecrated Missionary, by Tad Callister, for our film after, it was really good. I really love the  Sunday  films, gunna miss that in the field.         I also finally meet some other people going to Halifax! There are 4 sisters, and one other Elder, I'll be flying out with them on the 26th. I'm pretty sure I get to call you guys before I leave the airport on my flight, but I think they talk about that next week in infield training, so I'll

Livin' on a prayer!

Bonjour tout le monde!        Half way through the MTC! Sorry you got sick mom, hope you feel better! As much as the kids have complained about their trip to Mt. Rushmore, I can't say I'm glad I missed it, it sounds fun to me. It's weird the things you notice missing when you can't do them anymore, like driving, listening to music, following the news, and watching football. Go Utes!        Also, I noticed that in your questions that I didn't explain things that great. First off, after our first full week, and the email I sent then, we had our first lesson with our second teacher, Frere Nadault. He's awesome. He went to Lyon France for his mission, and actually was companions with Frere Barnes for 4 months. But now it gets confusing. This last week we had a district leave, (I'll tell more below) and they were going to change Frere Barnes to pick up the new district coming in, and because they want each district to have a Brother and Sister teacher, we got

Good 2nd week!

Bonjour tout le monde,        This week has been going crazy fast. I got your letters and the packages, thank you for that, but I think I know what the problem is. You keep putting the address as #30, but my mail box is #390! Man, it has been killing me to say that all week, because I got your packages right after last p day. Also, I can't send any photos from my camera, I can't download the photos on the MTC computers, so when I get out I'll send you them. For now Elder Hable is sending me some from his, that I'll forward you. But life's been going really good, they keep us really busy here. We rarely aren't in class, doing personal study, comp study, and language study, or teaching lessons. I have been trying to get Savior, Redeemer of my Soul down, 'cause I think I want to play it in a devotional.         Speaking of devotionals, we've had a lot of really good ones. First week we had Kennith Cope, Elder Clayton, Elder Critteden, and then the last
