I have photos...just can't send them.

Hey all, First off, I HAVE PICTURES! And this week, I can't send them! At least not now. We just got into Halifax, so this is probably a little later than you are expecting. We got special permission to write after 6. I'm writing this from the AP's smart phone, so there's no way to send pictures this week... I'm so sorry! I thought we would be emailing at the church, but we're not allowed out past 5 because of Halloween. I hope you can forgive me. But this week has been INSANELY AWESOME! We had a baptism in Edmunston, we found three super awesome investigators, and a ton of super awesome pots [potentials]! First off, the baptism. The other elders have been working a lot with this excommunicated member, Erih Pheil. After 20 years, he's finally been given permission to be baptized. I have some pictures from that. But it was so cool! He kept talking about how he had been waiting for 20 years for this, and he was crying, and one of our investigators c

Another crazy week!

Bonjour tout le monde!        Let me just say, I totally didn't realize that Ains could go to the temple!!! I'm actually kinda bummed that I couldn't go with her. I'm glad that you had a good birthday, wish I could have sent you something Ains. I'm glad that you had a good UEA break though, weird to think you guys are already there, it does NOT feel like I've been out long enough. The time has been absolutely flying by. Also, I have to disappoint you, I have taken 1 picture. I fixed my camera, it works fine, but I haven't really taken any pictures. My bad, but I'm trying to be 100% responsible. Speaking of, that talk [It's a talk I mailed him called Be 100% Responsible by Lynn G. Robbins that was given at Education Week] was the Prepare to Learn for MLC, and I was super excited about it. It really is one of my favorite talks, and my companions loved it too. It has really helped us work harder to do our work.         There are some members in

New Branch!

Hey everybody!        First off, I want to apologize in advance if this is a shorter email. I could write all day about what's going on, but I won't have the time for that! Sorry. Second off, Fall in Canada is the best Fall. Sorry for you stuck in Utah, but this last week has been the most beautiful fall of my life. Never seen so many vibrant colors on trees. I got dad's letter from a bit ago at zone conference. It was the one where you were talking about how Planet X was supposed to destroy the world or something. Some missionaries actually had some pretty funny stories about talking to people about the Gospel, and people told them that they'd totally join the church, but since the world was ending, they were going to go party. Go figure. Wonder how their hangovers feel now.        Edmundston has been pretty awesome tho. We've had some exciting news here. We had Zone conference this last week, and that was super cool. The training was really useful, and because

Week 2 in the field

Bonjour la,         I was totally joking in my farewell about bonjour eh, but they totally actually do it (with la). The Canadians say eh too, but its not so bad. It's kinda weird, because in Edmunston, it's near total French, but right across the border it's pretty much total English. We work right along the border of Maine, so it's pretty back and forth. We speak mostly French, the people here have a really janky accent, but as long as they don't mumble too much I can catch most of it. Speaking's the hardest part, but I am getting better.         We have a bunch of investigators right now, and it's pretty cool because it's pretty much all right at the start of their conversion process. President Pratt was telling me that I'll see that the Elders in Edmunston just switch back and forth as to who's got a ton of investigators getting baptised, and right now the other Elders (Elder Boardman and Elder Smith) have 4 on dates, and at least 3 are g

First week in the field!

Bonjour tout le monde!        First off, sorry I didn't get to call a second time to talk again, the airport was crazy! This whole least week has been pretty insane, so I'll try to say as much as I can. The day before I left sucked. Everyone else in the French district left except the Haitian Creoles, the new Quebecois, and the Barbados. I didn't realize how much I talked to all of them. I played the piano in a devotional, for the new senior couples. It was pretty good, but I was really happy when I got to leave the next day. We went out early, took front runner to trax, and trax to the airport. I was the only one who had travelled a lot in our little group of six heading out, so people were asking me what to do, and that was really stressful. Salt Lake City airport was fine, but man, going though customs in Canada was rough! It's a pretty confusing layout, and it took loads of time. It didn't help that our flight was a little delayed leaving Salt Lake, so we got t
